About this winery

Solidly anchored in the Mâconnais landscape, the Cave de Lugny proudly claims its origins and its path that led it to its place as a specialist in South Burgundy. Looking to the future, the cellar is constantly seeking to develop thanks to an important quality approach: quality of the wines produced, of course, but also of the working conditions, the relations between employees and producers, and the quality of service to consumers.

Product notes

13% vol, dry and medium-bodied; Best served between 10 and 12°C. Very versatile with appetizers, fish, seafood, poultry, and dishes with creamy sauces. Best enjoyed between 2022 and 2025.

Production notes

Made with 100% Mâconnais Chardonnay on clay-limestone soils. Fermentation and aging are carried out in stainless steel vats and partially on lees in foudres (6 to 7 months), without transfer to new barrels.

Tasting notes

Golden yellow in color with greenish highlights, it offers fruity aromas - stone fruits and citrus fruits - combined with notes of honey, hazelnut, white flowers and light nuances of vanilla and butter. Full and round on the palate, with good freshness and a spicy and persistent finish.
