Product notes

A well-structured, approachable Bordeaux-style blend from BC. Serve between 16 and 18 °C. Ideal with gourmet burgers, meat lasagna or grilled dishes.

Production notes

This red belongs to Monte Creek Ranch’s Living Land series. It is crafted from a classic BC blend: Merlot (approx. 79%) and Cabernet Franc (approx. 21%), grown in VQA-certified vineyards. Grapes are hand-harvested and rigorously sorted. Fermentation occurs at cool temperatures in stainless steel, with extended maceration. Aged for 12–14 months in French oak barrels, including 20% new oak, to enhance structure and finesse.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby-red colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe black fruits (cassis, dark cherry), mocha, tobacco and soft licorice. The palate is plush and juicy with smooth tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long, spicy and refined, with subtle oak and cocoa hints.
