In the past, the members of my family, the Boisson, had two jobs at the same time: Vigneron and Farrier. The name of our domain comes from this second profession, because the nails that fix the shoes under the horses' hooves are called, in Provencal language, "caboche". At the time, this was the nickname given to the Boisson family. Only my father, Théophile, orphaned at the age of 3, was unable to learn the trade of farrier. On the other hand, his mother, who was in charge of the farm, instilled in him the love of the vine and wine, and he also became a winegrower, like his ancestors. But he kept his nickname of "caboche". This is how the first bottles with the name of Father Caboche appeared, and how the Domaine was named.
