Weingut Juris
Juris Sélection Pinot Noir
2015
About this winery
Tradition is the precondition for creating a new vision and this is particularly true with wine. The very place in which wine is made is often the bridge between the past and the future. The JURIS winery is located in the city of Gols, a place where wine has been the primary source of living ever since the great folk migrations between the fourth and sixth centuries. The name JURIS comes from the first name Georg which has belonged to many generations of Stiegelmar men.

Product notes
Manual harvest with severe sorting in the vineyard. Classic fermentation with minimal interventions so that the grapes express the terroir with clarity. After fermentation, the wine remains in vats until the end of the malolactic process. After devatting, the wine is aged for a few months in large French oak barrels.

Tasting notes
As Pinot Noir knows how to do, the nose of this charming wine is delicate, full of wild fruit and delicate spices. The palate is quite compact and elegant, with fine tannins and a pleasant freshness. It reveals aromas of cherry, cranberry, pepper and beautiful roasted notes. The length is impressive, complex and mineral. A wine with a strong personality.
