About this winery

The winery was built in 1970, and together with the vineyard became a landmark for the Greek wine industry. It is definitely worth mentioning the significant contribution made by the father of modern oenology, Professor Émile Peynaud from the University of Bordeaux, who forged the historical path of the first "Greek" wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, which—having been ideally adapted to the Domaine's calcareous-slaty soil—thrived around the globe, achieving numerous awards, medals and...

Product notes

Ruby Heart strikes as a friendly, easy-drinking red that doesn’t compromise on character. Its fresh fruit, integrated oak, and light spice make it both approachable now and capable of aging gracefully for a few more years. It’s precisely the kind of wine that brings comfort and pleasure, ideal for relaxed nights with friends, yet still reflects the distinct charm of Greek terroir.

Production notes

Ruby Heart is crafted from a blend of Limnio, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, organically grown on sandy-clay slopes in Halkidiki, Macedonia. The grapes undergo classic red wine vinification at controlled temperatures, followed by 12 months aging in French oak barrels, resulting in a polished structure that still respects the juicy fruit core

Tasting notes

Displaying a deep ruby hue, the aroma offers a charming combination of black forest fruits, vanilla, chocolate, and a subtle pepper note from the Limnio. On the palate, it’s velvety and round, with smooth tannins and a gentle, almost sweet finish. This balance makes it a perfect match for grilled meats and Mediterranean dishes
