About this winery
This estate was created in 1947 by Stanislaus Serafin, a Polish immigrant who arrived in France in the late 1930s. His son Christian joined him in 1957 and expanded the estate. Product notes
This Vieilles Vignes delivers remarkable depth and elegance for a village wine. Approachable now yet built to evolve through 2040, it pairs beautifully with red meat, game, or mushroom dishes thanks to its rich texture and refined finish
Production notes
Crafted from about 1 ha of ancient vines (65–90 years old) in small parcels near Gevrey’s Premier and Grand Cru sites, this wine is partially de-stemmed (~70%) and fermented with punch-downs and pump-overs. It is aged for 18 months in 100% new oak barrels, from François Frères, Chasan and Seguin‑Moreau, to build a broad structure while preserving fruit purity
Tasting notes
The nose is expressive, combining ripe cherry, raspberry, violet, and licorice with a nuanced toast from new oak. The palate reveals a generous, silky and fresh profile with polished tannins and a long, spicy-saline finish
