About this winery

With 98 hectares of vineyards in Côte-d'Or and Côte Chalonnaise, Château Philippe le Hardi is one of the most important estates in Greater Burgundy. Product notes

The philosophy of Château de Santenay is based on a parcel-by-parcel vinification and each terroir is vinified individually to transmit the exception of each "climate" in its wines. The nose: compote of red and black fruits harmoniously mixed with a nice woody taste delicately toasted. A greedy, fleshy and elegant mouth. The mouth is fresh: notes of blueberries, strawberries and delicate woody notes. A beautiful length.

Production notes

Each year, the harvest period represents a high point in the life of the estate: it is the culmination of a year's worth of viticultural work, the sum of climatology and forecasts. For the 98 hectares of the estate, it is a challenge that requires taking into account the specificities of each of the "climates" to establish an optimal calendar. The care taken with the grapes must preserve each berry from oxidation until they reach the Château. Thanks to successive investments, the vat house adapted to the volumes of each parcel allows us to respect the origin of each terroir and to ensure the traceability of our wines. The philosophy of Château de Santenay is based on a parcel-by-parcel vinification and each terroir is vinified individually to transmit the exception of each "climate" in its wines.

Tasting notes
