About this winery

The vineyard surrounds the castle. It is in one piece on the plateau of Puy de Menjon, a remarkable terroir that it shares with its neighbor, Château Fonréaud. Product notes

The historically hot and dry months of May, June and July favored the aromatic side of the wines and the purity of the aromas. Very uniform flowering in early June. Magnificent, rapid and uniform veraison from early August. The second half of August was a little cooler, and the rare rains gave the vines the energy they needed. In September, the grapes took advantage of cool nights and sunny days to finish ripening.

Production notes

After lightly crushing and destemming the grapes, the must is transferred to small, temperature-controlled vats to ensure perfect control of fermentation, respecting the expression, richness and nuances of each plot. Alcoholic fermentations are carried out with a focus on fruit extraction. 30% new barrels

Tasting notes

The wines are brightly colored, well-structured, with soft tannins that augur well for bottle ageing.
