About this winery

In 2006, when they acquired Château Romanin, Anne-Marie and Jean-Louis Charmolüe were driven by an energy as strong as the one that runs through the site's undoubted potential. Product notes

A full‑bodied yet refined Provençal red that strikingly balances power, finesse and ageing potential.

Production notes

This Grand Vin Rouge is crafted from carefully selected biodynamic Syrah and Mourvèdre grown on the clay‑limestone and stony soils of the Alpilles. It undergoes extended maceration before being aged 18 to 19 months in large foudre and oak barrels within the estate’s vaulted cellar

Tasting notes

Its deep ruby colour gives way to a complex bouquet of black cherry, raspberry and violet, intertwined with smoky and spicy nuances. On the palate it delivers a fresh entry, silky tannins and a smooth finish with invigorating minty freshness and subtle oak integration
