About this winery

THERE WAS A MADNESS... First of all, you had to be crazy to buy a property in 2003 in Bordeaux: everyone was talking about the crisis - and still does - about the lack of sales, the drop in prices... It's true, that's exactly what's happening, but with my ten years of experience in the wine trade, I've noticed that good wines always sell, at a lower price of course, but they do sell. So I set out to do just that, but without too much pretension, with the desire to make a good wine that is...

Product notes

Ready to drink or age for up to 15 years, this Pomerol pairs well with grilled red meats, duck breast, or rib-eye steak. A natural, authentic choice true to its terroir.

Production notes

The Clos du Canton des Ormeaux is a Pomerol red wine mainly from Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). Grown biodynamically on a small plot, it’s carefully vinified in new barrels. Malolactic fermentation happens in barrel, followed by 18 months of aging with light bâtonnage on lees, adding structure and complexity while preserving freshness and purity. Very low sulfites keep the wine natural.

Tasting notes

This wine shows a deep garnet color. The complex nose features red and black fruits (blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry) with soft spice notes (vanilla, cinnamon, cedar). On the palate, it is silky with fine, well-integrated tannins and an elegant, fresh, slightly spicy finish.
