Domaine Brusset
Domaine Brusset Cairanne Vieilles Vignes
2017
About this winery
In this family estate, since 1947, the Brusset family has been able to combine know-how with the new techniques brought by each generation. André Brusset (1910-1999), founder of the estate, passed on his passion to his son Daniel and his grandson Laurent. Two enthusiasts, two experiences that make the Brusset estate a rare place where the complementarity of two generations gives the best results, in the respect of traditions.

Product notes
This Vieilles Vignes offers ripe generosity and backbone in harmony, expressing its terroir with poise. Enjoyable now and built to age gracefully for up to a decade
Production notes
Crafted from 80‑year‑old Grenache and Syrah vines planted on clay‑limestone slopes with southern exposure, this cuvée is hand‑harvested and de‑stemmed. It undergoes a cold soak followed by a 3–4‑week fermentation with daily punch‑downs at around 31 °C. Aging is carried out 70% in stainless steel and 30% in two‑year‑old demi‑muids for 12 months, then bottled without filtration
Tasting notes
The wine pours a deep ruby‑garnet color and opens with evocative aromas of bramble fruit, blackberry, pepper, violet and hints of olive or tapenade. On the palate it is rich and structured, supported by silky tannins and integrated acidity with a long, juicy, mineral‑tinged finish .
