About this winery
Founded in 1849 by Albert Brenot in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Doudet-Naudin is one of the oldest Burgundy wine Maisons. In 1933 it was acquired by the Doudet family, who have developed and expanded the Maison while preserving its fundamental values: respect for traditions and excellence. Christophe Rochet, the current head of Doudet-Naudin, is committed to maintaining the values of this well-respected Maison while restructuring it.

Product notes
In its youth, this wine pairs pleasantly with all poultry and roasted meats (duck breast, leg of lamb, or a roast beef). After 6 to 7 years of aging, this is a wine that will pair well with more sophisticated cuisines based on marinated sauces, game birds and venison.
Production notes
Hand-harvested grapes, sorted in the vineyard and then at the estate on a sorting table. Alcoholic fermentation in vats. Total destemming. Aged in oak barrels for 14 months.
Tasting notes
A deep, intense purple color, revealing a beautiful concentration. The nose is powerful and expressive. The tasting opens with kirsch-soaked cherries and sanguine notes accompanied by a light roasting. The palate then reveals nuances closer to the terroir, where licorice and undergrowth appear, elegantly integrated, with a slightly spicy finish. The whole is relatively soft and supple and has good persistence on the palate.
