About this winery

It is a land of French bell towers planted in the charming folds of the hillsides of rural Burgundy that run along the Serin, the clear river of the Chablis miracle. Product notes

Highly regarded for finesse and aging potential, this Côte de Jouan consistently earns 92–93 points for its balanced profile and longevity. It holds around a 4.1/5 average on Vivino, praised for its vivacious minerality and elegant structure

Production notes

This 100 % Chardonnay Premier Cru comes from a 0.7 ha parcel on the left bank of the Serein, planted on fossil-rich Kimmeridgian limestone with ~30-year-old vines. Grapes are handpicked, gently pressed, fermented naturally with indigenous yeasts over about three months, and aged 12 months on lees (80 % in oak foudre, 20 % in demi‑muids), delivering tension, saline minerality and complexity

Tasting notes

In a pale gold hue, aromas of bitter citrus, white flowers and hazelnut unfold. The palate is refined and lively, bridging suppleness with crisp acidity, featuring saline and iodine notes that echo oyster shell and lime peel, leaving a long mineral finish
