About this winery

This estate was created in 1947 by Stanislaus Serafin, a Polish immigrant who arrived in France in the late 1930s. His son Christian joined him in 1957 and expanded the estate. Product notes

This wine delivers an expressive yet refined Burgundy experience that’s both accessible and serious. It works beautifully with game, mushrooms or fine red meats. Approachable now but with the structure to evolve over the next decade, it exemplifies terroir-driven balance and finesse

Production notes

This Gevrey‑Chambertin is crafted from multiple plots, including vines aged 70–100+ years. About 70% destemmed, it’s fermented with punch‑downs and aged 12–18 months in French oak (50–100% new), balancing depth, structure and fresh fruit expression

Tasting notes

With a bright garnet hue, the nose reveals cherry and raspberry tones layered over earthy, spicy and licorice notes. The palate is elegant yet generous, framed by supple tannins and leading to a long, saline-mineral finish
