Production notes
Lalande-de-Pomerol Néac 0.869 ha, confidential single-vineyard cuvée. Located on a clay-gravel ridge, 500 meters from Château Pétrus on the continuation of the Pomerol plateau, 40 meters in altitude. Soils: Clay-gravel, blue clay and iron oxides known locally as "crasse de fer." In conversion to Organic Farming, sowing of selected cover crops (cereals, legumes, and crucifers) and mechanical soil work. Hand-harvested. Sulfur-free. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 2 to 3 days, post-fermentation maceration for 6 weeks. Whole vinification in French oak barrels and poly-leavening. Aging 24 months - 100% new oak, selection from 4 coopers.
Tasting notes
On the nose, Le Bourg reveals a complex and enticing bouquet, blending cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, and blackberry, enhanced with notes of vanilla, licorice, tobacco, and a delicate floral touch. On the palate, the red and black fruits continue with indulgence in a balanced body with silky tannins, while nuances of dark chocolate, coffee, and black pepper mark a warm and refined finish.
