Our transition to organic farming in 1997 was a fundamental step in the development of the vineyard. Having rejected all chemical inputs, Château Couronneau rethought the work of the vineyard in a quest for harmony and respect for the natural balance. By converting our vineyard to organic farming more than 30 years ago, we have developed innovative methods of sowing, soil work, treatment optimization, and disease prevention through prophylaxis. We have focused our efforts on the needs of the vine by promoting its development conditions. The first biodynamic trials carried out in the 2000s convinced us of its regenerative and positive virtues for the plant.
