About this winery
The Etyeki Kúria Winery was founded on the Öreghegy (meaning Old Hill) of Etyek in 1996. Product notes
This Pinot Noir charms with its finesse and subtle aromatic profile. Showcasing clean fruit and layered spice in a polished and approachable style, it pairs well with roast poultry, duck, or soft cheeses. A wine enjoyable in its youth but with graceful aging potential
Production notes
Hailing from the cool, limestone-rich Etyek-Buda region near Budapest, this Pinot Noir is grown on soils steeped in chalk and loess—a quality environment for elegant expression. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine spends about one year aging in oak barrels sourced from Hungary, France, and Austria, with a rotating portion of new oak to maintain balance and fruit clarity
Tasting notes
It shows a medium red color with a bright clarity. On the nose, you’ll find aromas of sour cherry, blackcurrant, and rosehip, complemented by soft spice notes like sweet cumin, black pepper, and nutmeg. These flavors carry through to the palate with hints of plum and a refined freshness, all wrapped in a sleek, elegant structure
