About this winery

A family estate with character: two passionate women, mother & daughter, are at the head of this estate. The domain works in a tradition and a family continuity. Authenticity & passion: the purity of the terroirs and the wines, the minerality and the sharing through tasting are key points. Expertise & elegance: the excellence of the terroirs and the finesse of our muscadets have always been the key words.

Product notes

The robe of the wine is very intense for a muscadet. The wine has a golden color. The nose is fruity, very complex. The mouth is ample and structured. The minerality of the soil is present, but is very well balanced with the roundness of the wine. The aromas developed here are fruits and white flowers. The finish is buttery. It is a great wine for keeping, perfectly balanced.

Production notes

The wine must first be approved as Muscadet Sèvre et Maine the first year, and then undergo a second tasting. If this one is also approved, the wine is certified 60 days before bottling. The batch receives a certification number and each bottle is numbered. The vinification is innovative. Indeed, during a classic vinification on lees, the wine remains in tank in contact with the lees during 6 to 14 months, then it is bottled. The Gorges must remain on its lees for at least 24 months. But in the specific case of the Château de la Gravelle - Gorges 2014, the wine remained on its lees for 32 months.
